December 8 (SeeNews) - Following is a schedule of corporate, economic and political events taking place in or related to Bulgaria through January 26. New or amended entries are marked (*).

* Monday, December 8 - Sofia: The head of the European Commission's Enlargement Directorate-General Michael Lee pays a one-day visit to Bulgaria, to meet the country's Deputy Prime Minister Meglena Plugchieva, in charge of absorption of EU funds.

* Monday, December 8 - Brussels (Belgium): Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivaylo Kalfin to take part in the EU General Affairs and External Relations Council, to hold news conference after the Council.

* Monday, December 8 - Sofia: EU Consumer Commissioner Meglena Kuneva holds news conference to present her performance during 2008 and tasks for 2009.

* Monday, December 8 - Sofia: The water utility company operating in the capital Sofia, Sofiyska Voda, and state energy and water regulator to discuss water prices.

* Monday, December 8 - Sofia: Bulgaria's central bank to auction 30 million levs ($19.6 million/15.3 million euro) in 10-year treasury notes.
