Bulgaria says deal on gas link with Serbia to be signed by end-2012

December 11 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian economy and energy minister Delyan Dobrev said on Tuesday the deal for the construction of a gas interconnection with Serbia should be signed by the end of the year.

In October, Dobrev said the Bulgarian section of the gas interconnector, planned to be launched in 2014, is expected to cost 60 million euro ($78 million).

The interconnector will stretch for 50 kilometres in Bulgaria and 100 kilometres in Serbia. It is expected to carry between 1.8 billion and 5.0 billion cubic metres of natural gas a year in either direction.
