February 23 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria saw annual inflation of 7.7% in January, according to provisional data, marking the highest increase in consumer prices among EU member states in Southeast Europe (SEE), the EU's statistical office said on Wednesday.
On a monthly comparison basis, Romania posted the highest rate of increase of consumer prices among EU countries in SEE in January, of 1.4%, Eurostat said in a statement.
Elsewhere in SEE, Croatia and Greece had the lowest annual inflation rate in January, of 5.5% each.
