May 7 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's health ministry said that it lifted the restrictions on intercity travel, removing the checkpoints at the entry of each of the country's 28 provinces, and allowed the reopening of restaurants and bars with outdoor seating as of May 6.
In addition, the ministry allowed visits to outdoor museums and swimming pools, it said in a statement on Tuesday.
The restrictions were imposed in March in an attempt to curb the spread of the novel coronaviruse disease (COVID-19).
By Thursday, COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria totalled 1,811 with 384 recoveries and 84 lethal outcomes. Bulgaria entered a state of emergency on March 13, which is due to end on May 13.
