Financing will be directed towards purchasing new machinery, equipment, tools and specialised software, as well as introducing ICT systems and modules to improve management, production and logistics processes, the innovation ministry said in a press release on Monday.
The funding, ranging between 15,000 levs and 150,000 levs per project, will also cover the costs of setting up online stores. The programme will co-finance up to 75% of the project costs for family businesses and those in the creative industries and up to 85% for firms in the crafts sector.
Project applications can be submitted until September 16, the ministry said.
The grant scheme is part of the EU-backed operational programme Innovations and Competitiveness.
