October 7 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's government said on Wednesday that it extended by 15 years its concession agreement with local construction company Patishta for the Gergyovitsa marble deposit.

The extension was sought by Patishta in view of the significant resources remaining at the site, the government said in a statement following its weekly meeting.

The concession agreement for the Gergyovitsa deposit entered into force in December 1996 for a 25-year period.
