The tender, divided into two lots, includes projects for the tunnel on the Dupnitsa-Blagoevgrad road in Bulgaria's southwest, as well as two tunnels on the road connecting Ruse on the Danube with the northern city of Veliko Tarnovo, RIA said in a press release on Wednesday.

The first lot, for the Dupnitsa tunnel, is for a contract worth an estimated 12 million levs excluding VAT. The project is to be finalised within 540 days, with 120 days allotted for the technical design phase.

The second lot, for the Velchova Zavera and Boruna tunnels near Veliko Tarnovo and four bridges, is worth an estimated 24 million levs excluding VAT. The contract period is 720 days, with design activities to be completed within 120 days.

Bids for both lots must be submitted by January 8, 2024, the agency said.
