SOFIA (Bulgaria), November 6 (SeeNews) – The combined sales of the members of the Union of Brewers in Bulgaria (UBB) fell around 10% year-on-year through September, local media reported.
The UBB members sold a combined 4.164 million hectolitres of beer in the first nine months of 2009, online newswire Investor.bg (www.investor.bg) reported on Thursday, quoting a UBB source.
The combined sales of the UBB members totalled 5.373 million hectolitres last year, union data showed.
The union members' combined investments amounted to 40 million levs ($30.42 million/20.45 million euro) in the first half of 2009 compared to 90 million levs in 2008, Investor.bg said.
UBB data covers the sales performance of Boliarka VT, Kamenitza, recently sold by Anheuser-Busch InBev to private equity firm CVC, Carlsberg Bulgaria, Heineken-owned Zagorka and Lomsko Pivo.
