September 18 (SeeNews) - Bosnian road company Zvornikputevi has started works on a 9.5 million marka ($5.4 million/4.9 million euro) project for overhaul of 31.6 kilometres long section of M-19 main road, the Serb Republic's road company Putevi Republike Srpske said.
Works will be carried out on the Drinjaca-Milici-Vlasenica road section, some 100 km northeast of capital Sarajevo, that forms part of M-19 road connecting the town of Zvornik on the border with Serbia to East Sarajevo, Putevi Republike Srpske said in a press release on Tuesday.
"This is part of the rehabilitation project of the main road from Zvornik to East Sarajevo," said Nenad Nesic, acting head of Putevi Republike Srpske
The works are expected to be completed within 24 months.
The Serb Republic is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
