Exports increased by 27.8% year-on-year in the January-September period, reaching 4.062 billion marka, while imports added 31% to 5.221 billion marka, the Serb Republic's Institute of Statistics said in a monthly report this week.
The Serb Republic's main export destinations in the first nine months were Serbia and Italy, absorbing 17.3% and 12.4% respectively of the entity's total exports.
The largest importers into the entity were Serbia and Italy, with shares of 17.6% and 16.3% of all imports, respectively.
Bosnia's Serb Republic recorded a trade deficit of 1.152 billion marka in 2021, up 6.8% on the year.
The Serb Republic is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other entity is the Federation.
