Bosnia's Serb Republic Sept Industrial Output Rises 5.5% Y/Y, Up 0.2% M/M - Table

In August, the Serb Republic's industrial output index increased by an annual 6.2% but was 3.9% lower than in July.

Industrial production rose by 8.0% on the year in the nine months of 2008, the Republic's Statistics Office said in a statement posted on its website.

The sub-index for the output of the mining industry rose by 18.7% through September and the processing industry index was 3.6% higher on the year. Electricity production and gas and water supply in the first nine months of 2008 were up 17.9%.

The index measuring the production of capital goods from January to September decreased by 10.4% from the year-ago period, while the output of semi-finished goods was up by 4.9%. Production of durable and non-durable consumer goods rose by 29.9% and 5.6%, respectively, and energy generation was up 17.6%.
