Bosnia's Serb Republic Oct Tourist Numbers Up 12.6% Y/Y - Table

December 4 (SeeNews) - The number of tourists in Bosnia's Serb Republic totalled 21,498 in October, up 12.6% on the year and 2.7% more than a month earlier, official data showed on Thursday.

Tourist arrivals in the ten months of 2008 were 206,119, or 10.4% more than a year earlier, the Serb Republic's Statistics Office said in a statement posted on its website.

The number of tourist overnights rose by 6.7% year-on-year in October to 55,234. Most foreign tourists visiting the Serb Republic came from neighbouring Serbia, followed by tourists from Croatia, Slovenia and Italy.

The Serb Republic and the Muslim-Croat Federation are the two autonomous parts of war-divided Bosnia.
