Bosnia’s Serb Republic in talks with EIB for 200 mln euro motorway loan - media

September 10 (SeeNews) - The government of Bosnia's Serb Republic is in talks for a 200 million euro ($256 million) loan from the European Investment bank (EIB) for the Banja Luka–Prnjavor motorway section, Bosnian media reported.

The construction of the 36.6 kilometer Prnjavor-Doboj road section, part of the Banja Luka-Doboj motorway, will start next week, news agency Srna (www.srna.rs) reported on Saturday, quoting the Republic’s transport minister Nedeljko Cubrilovic.

The construction of the section, commissioned to a partnership between Bosnian company Integral Inzenjering and Macedonia's Granit, will cost 180 million euro.

The Serb Republic is one of the two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Muslim-Croat Federation.
