Bosnia's Serb Republic GDP growth speeds up to 2.9% y/y in Q1

May 31 (SeeNews) - The gross domestic product (GDP) of Bosnia's Serb Republic rose by 2.9% year-on-year in real terms in the first quarter of this year, following an annual growth of 2.4% in the previous quarter and an increase by 0.9% in the first quarter of 2023, the entity's statistical office said on Friday.

In seasonally-adjusted terms, GDP increased by 0.5% on a quarterly comparison basis in the January-March period, after it rose by 0.6% in the October-December period, and by 0.2% in the first quarter of 2023, the Serb Republic's statistical office said in a statement.

The Serb Republic is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
