SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), November 22 (SeeNews) – The number of construction permits issued in Bosnia's Serb Republic in October decreased by 26% year-on-year to 84, the entity's statistical office said on Friday.
The number of permits issued for residential and non-residential buildings dropped 25% on an annual comparison basis in October, whereas the permits for civil engineering projects plummeted by 32%, the Institute of Statistics of the Serb Republic said in a monthly report.
Out of the total number of permits issued in October, 74 covered new construction projects, six were related to upgrades and extensions, while the remainder covered works for reconstruction and conversion of buildings.
Based on the number of permits, planned dwellings numbered 250, up 7.8% compared to October 2018.
The Serb Republic is one of two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
