SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), December 27 (SeeNews) – The number of construction permits issued in Bosnia's Serb Republic in November fell by 1.2% year-on-year to 83, the entity's statistical office said.
The number of permits issued for residential and non-residential buildings rose 13.6% on an annual comparison basis in November, whereas the permits for civil engineering projects plummeted by 36%, the Institute of Statistics of the Serb Republic said in a monthly report on Wednesday.
Out of the total number of permits issued in November, 64 covered new construction projects, eight were related to upgrades and extensions, while the remainder covered works for reconstruction and conversion of buildings.
Based on the number of permits, planned dwellings more than quadrupled compared to November 2018, numbering 835.
The Serb Republic is one of two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
