Bosnia's Serb Republic Aug Tourist Numbers Fall 1.6% Y/Y - Table

October 8 (SeeNews) - The number of tourists staying in Bosnia's Serb Republic in August totalled 19,814, down by 1.6% on the year and 0.2% lower on the month, official figures showed.

The Serb Republic tourist numbers fell by 5.6% on the year to 154,528 in the first eight months of 2009, data from the website of the Serb Republic Statistics Office indicated.

The number of overnights decreased by 10.5% year-on-year to 58,448 in August. Most foreign tourists visiting the Serb Republic came from neighbouring Serbia, followed by tourists from Croatia, Slovenia, Italy and Germany.

The Serb Republic and the Muslim-Croat Federation are the two autonomous parts of post-war Bosnia.
