Bosnia's Serb Republic Aug CPI rises 1.9% y/y

BANJA LUKA (Bosnia and Herzegovina), September 21 (SeeNews) – Consumer prices in Bosnia's Serb Republic rose by 1.9% on the year and were 0.3% higher on the month in August, the Republic’s Statistics Office said on Friday.

In the first eight months of the year, the average inflation in the Serb Republic was 2.0%, the Statistics Office said in a statement.

In July, the Republic's consumer price index (CPI) rose by 1.6% on the year. On a monthly basis, it was 0.4% lower.

In 2011, the average annual inflation in the Serb Republic was 3.9%.

The Serb Republic is one of the two autonomous parts that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Muslim-Croat Federation.
