Bosnia's SASE stock indices rise, BLSE ends week mixed

October 5 (SeeNews) - The share indices of Bosnia's Sarajevo Stock Exchange ended higher this week, while those of the Banja Luka bourse closed mixed, stock market data showed on Friday.

Bosnia's SASE stock indices rise, BLSE ends week mixed

The SASX-10 index, tracking the 10 blue chips of the Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE), ended at 753.02 points on Friday, up 2.89% from a week earlier.

The SASX-30 index, comprising the 30 most liquid stocks on the SASE, added 0.71% from last Friday to a close of 932.37 points.

SASE's index tracking investment funds, the BIFX, closed at 1,632.65 points, up 6.14% from a week earlier.

SASE's total turnover dropped to 2.3 million marka ($1.5 million/1.2 million euro) this week from 26.5 million marka last week.

Drug maker Bosnalijek [SAJ:BSNLR] was the most traded stock on SASE's official market this week, generating a turnover of 944,302 marka.

SASE is based in the Muslim-Croat Federation, one of the two autonomous entities that make up Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Banja Luka Stock Exchange (BLSE) is based in the other entity, the Serb Republic.

BLSE’s benchmark index, the BIRS, closed at 828.95 points on Friday, up 0.02% from a week earlier.

The bourse's investment fund index, the FIRS, lost 1.27% from last Friday to 1,695.39 points.

Telekom Srpske [BANJ:TLKM-R-A] generated the biggest turnover of 651,273 marka on BLSE's official market this week. The stock closed at 1.61 marka on Friday, up 0.63% from a week earlier.

BLSE’s total turnover rose to 29.3 million marka this week from 1.56 million marka last week.
