Bosnia’s Q3 net electricity output rises 18.5% y/y

December 31 (SeeNews) - Bosnia's net electricity production rose 18.5% on the year to 3,355 gigawatt-hours (GWh) in the third quarter of 2013, the country's statistics agency said on Tuesday.

In September alone, net electricity production rose 2.9% on the year to 974 GWh, the Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina said in a quarterly report.

Net hydro power output increased 26.3% on the year to 932 GWh in the three months through September while electricity production at the country's thermal power stations was up 15.7% to 2,423 GWh.

Power imports fell 22.5% on the year to 920 GWh in the third quarter while exports jumped 52% to 1,345 GWh.
