Bosnia’s Q2 Govt Foreign Debt Rises 0.1% Q/Q to 1.999 Bln Euro

September 11 (SeeNews) - The Bosnian government's foreign debt rose to a preliminary 3.909 billion marka ($2.817 billion/1.999 billion euro) at the end of the second quarter of 2008 from 3.905 billion marka three months earlier, central bank figures showed on Thursday.

No year-ago figures were available. The foreign debt was 3.961 billion marka at the end of 2007, down from 4.071 billion marka a year before, the central bank said earlier.

Bosnia operates a currency board system, with the Bosnian marka pegged to the euro at a fixed exchange rate of 1.95583 marka per euro.
