The company decided to fire its 110 employees at the Jajce factory after failed negotiations with authorities to address problems with high electricity costs, news provider Capital reported on Tuesday, citing Metalleghe Silicon director, Jelena Kuridza, as saying.

Metalleghe Silicon halted operations at its factory in Jajce earlier this year in order to avoid losses due to high electricity prices, local media reported earlier.

Metalleghe Group has another factory in Bosnia - in Mrkonjic Grad.
