PepsiCo is Messer BH Gas' main buyer of liquid CO2, which it uses for the production of beverages, the Bosnian company said in a statement last week.

Messer will shortly be opening a new well, which will enable the company to begin exporting carbon dioxide to customers in Croatia, Serbia and other countries. The investment in the new production facility is worth 5 million marka ($3.0 million/2.6 million euro).

Germany's Messer Group operates three companies in Bosnia: Messer BH Gas, Messer Tehnoplin and Messer Mostar Plin.
