Bosnia's June Jobless Rate Rises to Prelim 41.6% from Revised 41.4% in May

August 20 (SeeNews) - Bosnia's unemployment rate rose to a preliminary 41.6% in June from a revised 41.4% a month earlier, official statistics showed on Thursday.

The number of unemployed in the Balkan state was 492,718 in June versus 490,765 in May, the Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina said in a statement posted on its website.

Bosnia’s unemployment rate in June 2008 was 38.7%, the statistics office said at the time.

Bosnia, a country of some 4.0 million people, was split into two autonomous parts - the Muslim-Croat Federation and the Serb Republic, by the 1992-95 civil war.
