September 23 (SeeNews) - Bosnia's unemployment rate rose to 41.8% in July from 41.6% a month earlier, official statistics showed on Wednesday.

The number of unemployed in the Balkan state was 497,034 in July versus 492,718 in June, the Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina said in a statement posted on its website.

Bosnia’s unemployment rate in July 2008 was 40.9%, the statistics office said at the time.

Bosnia, a country of some 4.0 million people, was split into two autonomous parts - the Muslim-Croat Federation and the Serb Republic, by the 1992-95 civil war.
