Bosnia's inflation speeds up to 17.3% y/y in Sept

October 26 (SeeNews) - Consumer prices in Bosnia rose 17.3% on the year in September, after an annual increase of 16.8% in August, the country's statistical office said on Wednesday.

In September, the average prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 26.2% year-on-year, prices of housing and utilities went up 20%, and transport prices surged by 28.2%, the statistical office said in a monthly inflation report.

On a monthly comparison basis, consumer prices rose 1.2% in September, following an increase of 0.3% in August.

Last year, consumer prices in Bosnia rose by 2.0%, after a drop of 1.0% in 2020.
