Bosnia's Federation Oct Industrial Output Rises 16% Y/Y, Up 2.1% M/M - Table

November 20 (SeeNews) - The industrial output of Bosnia's Muslim-Croat Federation rose by 16% year-on-year in October and was up 2.1% from the previous month, official statistics indicated on Thursday.

In the first ten months of 2008, industrial production in the Federation, which together with the Serb Republic makes up war-divided Bosnia, rose by 7.5% on the year, the Federation's Statistics Office said in a statement.

In September, industrial output rose by 14.9% on the year and was 2.9% higher than it was in August.

Durable consumer goods output through October was 11.8% lower than a year earlier. Production of non-durable consumer goods was 16.9% higher, and production of semi-finished goods fell by 0.1% from a year earlier. Production of capital goods increased in the first ten months by 11.9% and energy output was 9.8% higher.

Output in the mining industry through October went up by 2.8%, while processing industry's output was 7.6% higher. Production of electricity and supply of gas and water rose by 10.6% on the year in the first ten months of 2008, the statistics office said.
