Bosnia's Federation GDP rises real 0.4% y/y in Q3

December 31 (SeeNews) - The gross domestic product (GDP) of Bosnia’s Muslim-Croat Federation rose by a real 0.4% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2014, after increasing by a real 3.1% a year ago, data of the entity's statistics office showed on Wednesday.

In the third quarter, the Federation's GDP rose to 4.63 billion marka ($2.8 billion/2.3 billion euro) at current prices from 4.55 billion marka a year earlier, the statistics office said in a statement, citing estimated figures.

In the second quarter the entity’s economy shrank by an annual 0.5% in real terms.

In 2013, the economy of Bosnia’s Federation expanded by a real 2.3%.

The Muslim-Croat Federation is one of the two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
