May 27 (SeeNews) - The number of construction permits issued in Bosnia's Federation rose 8.0% year-on-year to 296 in April, the entity's statistical office said on Monday.
The number of permits issued for residential and non-residential buildings went up 11.8% on an annual comparison basis to 227 in April, the statistical office said in a monthly report.
The permits for civil engineering projects declined 2.8% on the year to 69 ones last month.
Out of the total number of permits issued in April, 268 covered new construction projects, 17 were related to upgrades and extensions, while the remainder covered works for reconstruction and conversion of buildings and spaces.
Based on the number of permits issued in April, planned dwellings numbered 361, up 7.4% year-on-year.
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
