March 27 (SeeNews) - The number of construction permits issued in Bosnia's Federation rose 7.5% year-on-year to 272 in February, the entity's statistical office said.
The number of permits issued for residential and non-residential buildings went up 12% on an annual comparison basis to 206 in February, the statistical office said in a monthly report on Monday. The permits for civil engineering projects declined 4.3% on the year to 66 ones last month.
Out of the total number of permits issued in February, 243 covered new construction projects, 16 were related to upgrades and extensions, while the remainder covered works for reconstruction and conversion of buildings and spaces.
Based on the number of permits issued in February, planned dwellings numbered 505, up 54.4% year-on-year.
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
