The total revenue of the banks based in the Federation increased by 24.8% year-on-year in 2023, to nearly 1.5 billion marka, whereas total expenses rose 14.6% to 1 billion marka, the banking agency said in a report.
Net interest income totalled 915.5 million marka in 2023, up 35.9% compared with 2022.
Total loans amounted to 17 billion marka at the end of 2023, up from 16.5 billion marka at the end of 2022. Deposits came in at 23.9 billion marka at the end of 2023, up from 22.4 billion marka a year earlier.
The total assets of the Federation's 13 banks rose to 29 billion marka at the end of 2023, up from 27.2 billion marka from the end of 2022.
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other entity is the Serb Republic.
