On a monthly comparison basis, the Federation's CPI added 0.2% in April, after an increase of the same rate in March, the entity's statistical office said in a monthly report.
The average consumer prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages, which have the biggest weight in the consumer basket, rose 0.2% on the year in April. However, healthcare costs went up 4.2%, prices of hotels and restaurants increased 10.5% and prices of miscellaneous goods and services rose 5.8% compared to April 2023.
In 2023, the average consumer prices slowed down to 5.1%, from 14.9% in 2022.
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
