December 23 (SeeNews) - A consortium comprising Bosnia's IG, Serbia's SGS Beograd and Czech firm Skoda Praha qualified for the next stage of Bosnian power utility Elektroprivreda BiH's (EPBiH) tender for supervising the construction of a new unit at its Tuzla thermal power plant (TPP), local media reported on Wednesday.

EPBiH will now invite the consortium to submit a final bid for the procurement of supervision services, news provider BiznisInfo reported.

The only other candidate in the pre-qualification stage of the tender was a consortium comprising Germany's Steag Energy Services, Greece's TUV Hellas and Croatia's Institut IGH, whose offer was disqualified since it did not meet the tender requirements, BiznisInfo said.

Earlier this year, a consortium led by China Gezhouba Group Company Limited stared building the 722 million euro ($881 million) Unit 7 at Tuzla TPP. The construction works are expected to be completed within 56 months.
