SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), August 21 (SeeNews) – Bosnian state-controlled power utility Elektroprivreda BiH [SAJ:JPESR] said it has launched a tender for the provision of a preliminary design for the construction of a small hydro power plant on the river Bosna, in the municipality of Kakanj.
The deadline for the submission of bids is September 21, while the contract value is estimated at some 350,000 marka ($210,100/179,000 euro), EPBiH said in a notice on its website.
SHPP Kakanj is planned to have installed capacity of 4.69 MW, with annual output projected at 22.58 GWh. The total price of the project is estimated at 30.5 million marka, the utility said earlier.
EPBiH operates in the Federation, one of the two autonomous entities making up Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic. The company is the biggest of Bosnia’s three power utilities.
