Proceeds from the sales total around 161 million marka ($106 million/82 million euro), while the average sale price is 1.3% higher than the price achieved in last year's tender, state-owned EPBiH said in a statement.

The tender for the sale of surplus electricity attracted 14 candidates, up from 11 which bid in last year's procedure.

Three of the successful bidders are Bosnian-based: Repower Adria, EZPADA and GEN-I d.o.o.

Contracts were also signed with Hrvatska Elektroprivreda and ALPIQ ENERGY SE. The biggest buyer will be Hrvatska Elektroprivreda.
