Bosnia's Energokul submits EIA request for 200 MW wind farms

November 23 (SeeNews) - The environment ministry of Bosnia's Federation said on Thursday it has received a request by local company Energokul to conduct preliminary environmental impact assessment (EIA) for planned wind power plants with a combined capacity of 200 MW in the municipalities of Travnik, Jajce and Dobretici.

The project encompasses the construction of 34 wind farms with a capacity of up to 6 MW each at different locations in the municipalities, the ministry said in a notice.

The public can examine the requests and submit an opinion within 30 days from their announcement.

The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other entity is the Serb Republic.
