October 22 (SeeNews) - The number of unemployed people in Bosnia totalled 545,904 at the end of August, 2.8% up from a year ago, the country's statistics office said.

Bosnia's end-Aug jobless numbers rise 2.8% y/y, up 1.2% m/m

Month-on-month, the number of jobless was 1.2% higher at the end of August, the Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina said in a statement on its website.

A total of 531,058 people were unemployed at the end of 2011, up from 517,565 a year earlier. Bosnia has a population of some 4.0 million.
