April 29 (SeeNews) - Bosnian power distribution company Elektrokrajina [BANJ:EKBL-R-A] said on Monday it generated a net profit of 765,834 marka ($419,345/391,565 euro) in the first quarter of 2024, after making a net loss of 700,574 marka in the same period a year earlier.
Operating revenue was 1.6% higher at an annual comparison basis, standing at 39 million marka in the first three months of the year, Elektrokrajina said in a bourse filing.
Operating costs went down 1.8% on the year to 38.6 million marka in the first quarter of 2024.
Elektrokrajina's shares last traded on the BLSE on Friday, when they closed 2.44% higher at 0.126 marka.
Elektrokrajina is a unit of Elektroprivreda Republike Srpske (ERS), the power utility company of Bosnia's Serb Republic entity.
The Serb Republic is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
