Bosnia’s Boksit in 14.3 mln euro bauxite supply deal with local co Birac

BANJA LUKA (Bosnia and Herzegovina), December 21 (SeeNews) – Bosnian diversified company Boksit said it has signed a 28 million marka ($18.9 million/14.3 million euro) deal to supply bauxite to local alumina plant Birac next year.

Under the deal, Birac will purchase 400,000 tonnes of bauxite in 2013, Boksit said on its website on Thursday.

Boksit’s core business is bauxite ore excavation. The company is also active in the extraction of other minerals, as well as in construction, transport, food processing and tourism.

Boksit (www.ad-boksit.com) is based in Milici, in the eastern part of the Serb Republic, which together with the Muslim-Croat Federation forms Bosnia and Herzegovina.
