December 19 (SeeNews) - Bosnian road company Autoceste FBiH and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) have opened a tender for the construction of two sections on Corridor Vc, Autoceste FBiH said on Thursday.
The tender envisages the construction of the 35 km section Ovcari - Mostar North, including the 10.2 km Prenj tunnel, as well as the 15 km section Mostar North - Mostar South, the road company said in a press release.
The project will receive 600 million euro ($666.9 million) in financing by the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the EBRD, which will jointly finance the construction of Ovcari - Mostar North section, including the Prenj tunnel.
The road company can also apply for an EU grant of 120 million euro for this section.
Joint financing for the Mostar North - Mostar South section in the amount of 240 million euro will be provided by a consortium of local banks and the EBRD. For this section too Autoceste FBiH can apply for an EU grant of 12 million euro.
The 50 km section between Ovcari and Mostar South will comprise 10 bridges, 12 tunnels, and two loops.
