The number of unemployed in the Balkan state was 500,683 in August versus 497,034 in July, the Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina said in a statement posted on its website.
Bosnia’s unemployment rate in August 2008 was 40.8%.
Bosnia, a country of some 4.0 million people, was split into two autonomous parts - the Muslim-Croat Federation and the Serb Republic, by the 1992-95 civil war.
