Bosnia's Aluminij picks EP HZHB, GEN-I, HEP for electricity supply in H1 2014

SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), December 30 (SeeNews) – Bosnian aluminium smelter Aluminij has picked Bosnian power utility Elektroprivreda HZHB, Slovenia’s GEN-I and Croatia’s HEP in a tender for power supply for the first half of 2014, the government of the Muslim-Croat Federation said on Monday.

Aluminij will purchase 125 megawatts (MW) from EP HZHB, 50 MW from Slovenia’s GEN-I and 30 MW from HEP, the Federation's government said in a statement.

Workers/small shareholders and the government of the Muslim-Croat Federation each hold 44% of Aluminij’s capital while the Croatian government has a stake of 12%.

Aluminij is based in the Muslim-Croat Federation, one of the two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
