Bosnia’s 10-mo electricity output totals 12,104 GWh

SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), December 23 (SeeNews) – Bosnia’s net electricity output totalled 12,104 gigawatt-hours (GWh) in the first ten months of 2014, data of the country's statistics office indicated on Tuesday.

The statistics office provided no comparative data for the same period of 2013.

The net output of the country’s hydropower plants totalled 4,657 GWh, while its thermal power plants generated 7,446 GWh through October.

Electricity imports totaled 2,597 GWh through October while exports amounted to 4,936 GWh.

In October alone, Bosnia’s net electricity generation climbed up by 9.1% on the month to 1,252 GWh. Imports rose 8.9% on the month to 220 GWh, while exports increased 3.8% to 438 GWh in October.
