Bosnian Wholesaler Trznica's Jan-Sept Net Profit Falls 39% Y/Y - Table

October 27 (SeeNews) - The nine-month net profit of Trznica Banja Luka, a Bosnian wholesaler and operator of outdoor markets, fell 39% on the year to 2.24 million marka ($1.46 million/1.15 million euro), as costs grew faster than revenue, figures showed on Monday.

Trznica’s operating assets totalled 42.8 million marka at the end of September, up from 38.2 million marka at the end of 2007. Its shares on the Banja Luka bourse were traded at an average price of 1.73 marka on Monday, down 3.89% from Friday. The statement was issued after the close of trade on Monday.

Trznica Banja Luka (www.trznica-bl.com) is based in Banja Luka, the administrative centre of the Serb Republic, which together with the Muslim-Croat Federation forms war-divided Bosnia.

The company operates seven hectares of outdoor markets and indoor wholesale centres, retail stores, and restaurants. It employs 170.
