Bosnian Tuzla salt mine's H1 net profit doubles

SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), August 24 (SeeNews) – Bosnian salt mine Rudnik soli Tuzla said on Thursday its net profit more than doubled to 1.5 million marka ($904,500/766,900 euro) in the first six months of 2017, from 604,930 marka a year earlier.

Operating income increased to 7.1 million marka through June from 7.0 million marka a year earlier, while operating costs rose to 8.5 million marka from 6.4 million, Rudnik soli said in a filing with the Sarajevo Stock Exchange.

The company is based in the northeastern town of Tuzla, in the Federation entity, which forms Bosnia and Herzegovina together with the Serb Republic.
