Bosnian Share Indices End Week Mixed

SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), August 21 (SeeNews) – The share indices on the Sarajevo bourse mostly fell this week, while all the stocks in Banja Luka recorded weekly gains, bourse data showed on Friday.

Bosnian Share Indices End Week Mixed

The SASX-10 index of the Sarajevo Stock Exchange, SASE, tracking the bourse’s 10 blue chips, lost 1.09% on the week to 971.24 points.

SASE's index tracking investment funds, the BIFX, was up 3.25% on the week to 1,926.22 points. The bourse’s recently launched SASX-30 index, which includes the 30 most liquid stocks on the market, fell 1.70% to 1,116.98 this week.

Blue-chip drug firm Bosnalijek posted the highest weekly turnover on the bourse's official market. It traded at an average price of 16.23 marka ($11/8.3 euro), up from 15.93 marka last Friday, in a weekly turnover of 522,035 marka.

SASE's turnover edged down to 1.8 million marka this week from 1.9  million a week earlier.

The turnover on BLSE, Bosnia's smaller bourse, rose fractionally to 1.27 million marka this week from 1.26 million marka last week.

The benchmark BIRS index of the BLSE was 3.36% higher from last week at 1,006.72 points on Friday. The BLSE investment fund index, FIRS, gained 4.49% to 1,787.67.

The most liquid stock on BLSE's official market was Telekom Srpske, which traded in a turnover of 318,151 marka. It closed up 2.36% from a week earlier at 1.30 marka on Friday.

Among the investment funds traded on the BLSE, ZIF Zepter Fond posted the highest turnover this week of 51,940 marka. Its average weighted price was 5.24 marka on Friday, up 4.80% from a week earlier.

BLSE is based in the Serb Republic, one of Bosnia's two autonomous parts. The other part, where the SASE is based, is the Muslim-Croat Federation.
