The combined value of the locomotives is estimated at around 30 million euro ($38.1 million), the entity's government quoted Dragan Savanovic as saying after a meeting in Banja Luka with officials from Polish holding company MULTICO and Warsaw-based ZNLE SA Gliwice.
The topics discussed at the meeting, attended also by the Republic's transport minister Nedeljko Cubrilovic, included opportunities for the supply of new trains and for the setting up in Doboj of joint locomotive maintenance operations that would serve as the Polish company's service center for Southeast Europe.
The Serb Republic is one of the two autonomous entities that make up Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Muslim-Croat Federation.
