Bosnian insurers grow GWPs 11.7% y/y in 2023

February 7 (SeeNews) - The insurance companies operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina posted gross written premiums (GWPs) of 984 million marka ($542.3 million/503.1 million euro) in 2023, up 11.69% compared with the year before, the country's insurance agency said on Wednesday.

Non-life insurance premiums increased by 13.2% year-on-year to 784.5 million marka in 2023, while premiums in the life insurance segment went up 6% to 199.5 million marka, according to figures published on the website of Bosnia's insurance agency.

ASA Central Osiguranje was the biggest insurer in the year under review in terms of GWPs, with premiums reaching 108.9 million marka, followed by Adriatic Osiguranje with 95.1 million marka and Uniqa Osiguranje with 79.3 million marka.

The insurance agency's report comprises data of 25 insurance companies.
