August 23 (SeeNews) - Bosnian insurer Triglav Osiguranje [SAJ:BHOSR], part of Slovenia's Triglav Group, said on Wednesday its net profit increased to 994,700 marka ($599,800/508,600 euro) in the first half of the year from 984,612 marka in the same period last year.
Gross written premiums rose 6.3% to 22.7 million marka in January-June, while operating costs increased 2.3% to 6.6 million marka, the company said in a statement published on its website.
Last week, Triglav Group said its first-half consolidated net profit climbed 6% on the year to 36.1 million euro ($42.4 million), on the back of higher returns on investments.
The group’s consolidated insurance and co-insurance premium revenue increased 8% to 547.8 million euro in the January-June period.
