The coal mining sites, Djurdjevik and Visca, are both located in the municipality of Zivinice.

The one-off concession fee for the 20 year concession period is 210,000 marka ($128,300/107,400 euro) and will be paid in 60 equal monthly instalments, the cantonal government said in a statement on Tuesday.

The output fee is set at 0.70 marka per tonne of coal, but not less than 250,200 marka per year.

EPBiH operates in the Federation, one of the two autonomous entities making up Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic. EPBiH is the biggest of Bosnia’s three power utilities.

Tuzla is one of 10 cantons in the Federation.
